In fact, you MUST eat IMMEDIATELY (or within 45 minutes) after workout. Some simple carb plus protein is the best (which the simple carb will carry the protein to fuel your muscle). If you don't give your body fuel to consume, then it will extract ed from your VALUABLE muscle.
